The Genesis Vial Washer is a continuous, in-line washer incorporating precision engineered vial carriers which keep each vial centered over the spray nozzles enabling the spray nozzles to move up and into each vial. All plumbing is contained within the unit, keeping floor space requirements to a minimum. Operation is controlled and monitored from a stand-alone control station, incorporating an Allen Bradley SLC 5/04 PLC and 1400 E-color touch screen. Three mechanically independent motion systems permit smooth transition throughout the wash cycle. Sensors and alarms are built in throughout the system to guard against misfed vials, the potential for breaking glass, and mechanical jams.
Phase Shift
- Vial ranges from 2ml to 100ml (or 10ml to 250ml) can be accomodated with no internal change parts. Patented technology uses two bucket sizes in the same carrier. When changing vial sizes, an operator merely changes the carrier phase with a tool-less pin adjustment.
- One person changeover between vial sizes is accomplished with no tools required. The only change parts are easily accessible infeed guides.
Infeed
- Promotes gentle vial handling and eliminates jams.
- Incorporates a downed vial eject for improperly oriented vials.
Change Procedure
Changeover is accomplished with two replaceable parts - the infeed guides. All other changes are adjustments that are digitally indicated or automatically aligned and require no tools.
