The Genesis Raised Stopper Detector is a vision based platform. The RSD is self-contained and totally enclosed. Constructed of stainless steel, it is compatible with Pharmaceutical clean room and laboratory operation protocols. The RSD is capable of operation on its own or can be integrated with other cappers including Genesis's own line of Westcappers®.
Stoppered vials enter the RSD and are passed in front of two separate Vision stations, ensuring all sides of the vial be inspected. The vision system is able to detect gaps in between the seated stopper and the vial within + or - of .1 of a mm. If any vials are found to fall out of range of set parameters the vial is ejected by the Eject Starwheel into the Eject Tray for removal.
The RSD is PLC based and is controlled by a Color Touchscreen Panel. The software requires minimal training to set up and is password protected. The RSD can read both tubing and molded glass, clear or tinted. It is able to handle a minimum/maximum throughput of 50 to 600 VPM, depending on vial size and type. The RSD is validatable with our optional Validation Support Package, and complies to CFR Part 11.
